The project includes the conversion of redundant office accommodation at the above location into accommodation for young people. The initiative is intended to deliver high quality youth facilities in deprived neighbourhoods where crime and anti social behaviour are a problem.
After consulting the Cabinet Champion for Children and Young Peoples Services, I made the following Executive Decision:-
Under the Council’s scheme of delegation, approve acceptance of the tender of £427,981.00 from Carefoot plc and grant budget release of £514,000.00.
Since this is an Executive Key Decision, the decision will come into force, and may then be implemented, on the expiry of five working days after the publication of the decision, i.e. 18th June 2009, unless the Overview and Scrutiny Committee objects to it and calls it in.
