The project includes an extension to existing SureStart building (Golborne CC) to include 2 toilets, an office, store, extension of Baby & Toddler Room & a sleep area. Externally, a rubberised soft play area is to be provided to the new baby & toddler extension & a tarmac play area is to be provided to the front of the building.
A Report was taken to Cabinet and approved on the 18 September 2008 that delegated authority to the Director of Children and Young People's Services, in consultation with the Lead Member for Children and Young People's Services, to accept;
- the successful tender, within the sum of £189,679.93
- grant budget release, within the total sum of £228,792.
After consulting the Cabinet Champion for Children and Young Peoples Services, I made the following Executive Decision:-
Under the Councils scheme of delegation, approve acceptance of the tender of £189,679.93 from Leigh Building Services and grant budget release of £228,792.
Since this is an Executive Key Decision, the decision will come into force, and may then be implemented, on the expiry of five working days after the publication of the decision, i.e. 22nd April 2009, unless the Overview and Scrutiny Committee objects to it and calls it in.
