Having considered a report that seeks approval to award contracts for cyclical pre-paint, roofing, fencing and other repair work and after consulting the (Executive Leader and/or the Cabinet Champion for Healthier Communities and Older People's Champion, I made the following Executive Decision:-
Approved the acceptance of the lowest tenders and awarded contracts to Baas Construction of Burnley and Rok Bolton of Westhoughton. I have also approved consideration by Wigan & Leigh Housing to appoint a further constructor on a short term basis.
Since this is an Executive Key Decision, the decision will come into force, and may then be implemented, on the expiry of five working days after the publication of the decision i.e. 20th March 2009 unless the Overview and Scrutiny Committee objects to it and calls it in.
