7 Application for a new premises licence - 5.30 News, 158 Holden Road, Leigh: The Licensing Sub-Committee considered a report, which set out details of an application for a premises licence for which 252 letters of representation had been received. Of these 252 letters, 12 were withdrawn and 13 were from members of the public who may not live in the vicinity of the premises

The applicant attended the hearing and answered questions.

Six interested parties attended the hearing, one of which answered questions on behalf of all six. The Licensing Sub Committee were of the view that some of the 252 representations received had been made by people who did not live in the vicinity and consequently their representations were not relevant to the application.

Resolved: The application meets the four Licensing Objectives, therefore the Sub Committee grants the application as submitted.
