32 Minutes: The minutes of the meeting of this Panel held on 21 July 2008 were approved as a correct record.
33 National Intelligence Model: The Panel received a presentation from a representative of Greater Manchester Against Crime (GMAC), which outlined the National Intelligence Model (NIM) as a process of organised knowledge and information.
Agreed: The Panel thanks GMAC for the presentation.
34 Policing Green Paper consultation: The Panel considered a report, which informed Members about the consultation on Policing Green Paper ‘From Neighbourhood to the National’.
The report gave the Panel the opportunity to consider and agree or disagree with the suggested proposals for improving policing as contained within the Policing Green Paper. It also gave the Panel and opportunity to suggest further ideas for improvement as part of its consultation response.
Agreed: The Panel will reflect further and will email responses to the head of neighbourhood Services by the end of September 2008.
35 Annual update of the Affordable Housing Strategy and action plan: The Panel considered a report, which would be submitted to Cabinet, advised Members of progress made against the Council’s Affordable Housing Strategy in 2007/08 and proposed some changes to the Affordable Housing Allocations Scheme.
Agreed: The Panel notes the report now submitted.

36 Prolific and Other Priority Offender Scheme (PPO): The Panel considered a report, which informed Members about the Prolific and Other Priority Offender Scheme (PPO). The report outlined the work being done to tackle those offenders that caused most harm in the community.
Agreed: The Panel notes the report now submitted.
37 The development of the new Housing Strategy: The Panel considered a report, which advised Members of the process of developing the new Housing Strategy and outlined the continuing development of the Strategy, which was being overseen by the Housing Partnership and which was expected to be completed by April 2009.
Agreed: The Panel notes the progress of the development of the new Housing Strategy.
