2 Application for a premises licence, Easysave, 327 Wigan Road, Leigh: The Licensing Sub-Committee considered a report which advised Members of an application for a new premises licence.
The Licensing Officer’s report set out the relevant details.
The applicant attended the hearing and answered questions.
Councillor M J Whiteside attended the hearing to represent interested parties living within the vicinity of the premises and answered questions.
The applicant stated that although the trading hours requested are 0900 hours to 2300 hours, the premises will close on most evenings at approximately 2100 hours.
The applicant also confirmed that litter outside the premises would regularly be cleared.
Resolved: The Sub-Committee grants the application as amended above subject to the following conditions as offered by the applicant’s representative:
- a tamper proof CCTV system shall be installed at the front of the premises and shall be used to record during all hours that a licensable activity takes place on the premises; and
- persons who appear to be under 21 shall be required to produce satisfactory proof of age.
