59 Dates and times of meetings 2008/09: The Panel considered a draft programme of dates and times of meetings of the Council, Cabinet, Committees and Panels for 2008/09. Cabinet at minute 207 had invited comments from Committees and Panels.

60 Youth Offending Team – performance: Agreed: The Panel defers the presentation on the performance of the Youth Offending Team until the next meeting of this Panel.
61 The alley gating programme: The Panel considered a report on the progress of the alley gating programme and on proposals for future delivery.
Agreed: The Panel notes the progress of the alley gating programme and supports its continuation subject to finance being available.
62 Wigan Community Safety Partnership website: The Panel considered a report informing Members of the launch on 9 November 2007 of the Community Safety Partnership website.

63 Housing strategy / housing revenue account business plan - progress report: The Panel considered a report dealing with the progress of the housing strategy / housing revenue account business plan since 2003.

64 Wigan & Leigh Housing half yearly performance 2007/08 and governance review 2007: The Panel considered a report which was to be submitted to Cabinet dealing with the performance of Wigan and Leigh Housing during the period 1 April to 30 September 2007.
Agreed: The Panel endorses the report now submitted.

65 AGMA public protection partnership project: proposal to support the establishment of business regulation solutions: The Panel considered a report which had been approved by Cabinet at minute 231 on the change management programme being undertaken by the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA) Public Protection Partnership and the company Business Regulation Solutions already established as the delivery mechanism to improve business compliance throughout Greater Manchester.

66 Illegal money lending project: The Panel considered a report which was to be submitted to Cabinet seeking approval for a major regional initiative to investigate and prosecute where possible illegal money lenders operating in the area.
