15 Application for a variation of a premises licence – Prince of Wales, Victoria Street, Newtown, Wigan: The Committee considered a report which advised Members of an application that had been received for a variation to a premises licence at the Prince of Wales, Victoria Street, Newtown, Wigan. Representations had been received in respect of the application from the Environmental Protection Officer but they have since been agreed and withdrawn.
The Committee was advised that as there were now no representations in respect of the application it had to be granted.
Resolved: The Committee grants the application.
16 Licensing Act 2003 – Licensing Policy Statement 2008 -2010: The Committee considered a report which informed Members of the results of the consultation on the draft Licensing Policy Statement and which proposed amendments where appropriate.
Resolved: The Committee:
- notes the responses to the consultation exercise on the draft Licensing Policy Statement;
- recommends to Council to approve the amended Licensing Policy Statement as part of the Council’s Policy Framework; and
- recommends to Council to approve the publication of the amended Statement by 7 January 2008.
