4 Policy in respect of applications for Licensed Premises Gaming Machine Permits and variation to such permits: The Committee considered a report which asked Members to approve a policy in respect of any applications for the grant of a Licensed Premises Gaming Machine Permit or the variation of an existing Licensed Premises Gaming Machine Permit.
Resolved: The Licensing Committee :
- approves that it be the policy of this Council that where an application is made under the Gambling Act 2005 for the grant of a Licensed Premises Gaming Machine Permit or for an amendment of an existing permit for three or four gaming machines then the determination to grant that licence be delegated to Licensing Officers; and
- approves that where any such application is made for 5 or more gaming machines or where officers consider that they cannot issue a permit, that application shall be referred to the Council’s Licensing Sub-Committee for decision.
