7 Health Inequalities - Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) (.pdf, 1248kb): Members may recall that Dr Kate Ardern, Executive Director of Public Health for the Borough of Wigan attended July's meeting of this committee to discuss health inequalities in the Borough. It was agreed that a series of presentations be brought to the committee demonstrating the work that has been undertaken in helping to improve health in Wigan (minute 16 refers). Cardiovascular Disease and Alcohol being identified as important issues.
The meeting of 2 March 2010, will be focussing upon CVD. Attached is general information with regards to health inequalities in the Borough (page 15) and specific information in connection with CVD (page 47). More information will follow.
