The Annual Meeting of the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan is to be held in the Council Chamber in the Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan on Wednesday, 16 May 2007 at 2.30 p.m., for the following purposes, that is to say:
1. To elect the Mayor for the ensuing Municipal Year.
2. Vote of Thanks to Retiring Mayor.
3. To elect the Deputy Mayor for the ensuing Municipal Year.
4. To receive apologies for absence.
5. To receive any announcements from the Mayor, Executive Leader, Members of the Executive or the Head of Paid Service that they may desire to lay before the Council.

8. To elect the Executive Leader.
