Never Watch Alone is a unique initiative launched in partnership with Wigan Council, Wigan Learning Disability Partnership Board, Embrace Wigan and Leigh, the National Association of Disabled Supporters, Wigan Warriors Rugby League Club and Wigan Athletic Football Club.
Never Watch Alone enables supporters with a learning disability to attend matches alongside their fellow supporters.
Buddy up - as a friend not a carer - and live out your passion watching the Latics or the Warriors at the DW stadium with someone who shares the excitement of the match as well as the camaraderie and socialising before and after the game. Buddies don't need experience, just a genuine passion for sport. You will get ongoing guidance and support throughout by the Never Watch Alone co-ordinator.
So if you're over 18 and fanatical about sport, then you are just the person we are looking for.
To apply to become a buddy, complete the online application form (.pdf, 181kb).
