Let us introduce ourselves -
- Al Makraz, your Ambassador from Wigan
- Toussaint Lebeugle, your Ambassador from Angers
From October 2012 until September 2013, we will be representing our respective home towns, Angers and Wigan. Based in Angers, Al will be the main contact of the Angevins while Toussaint, who works in Wigan, will be in touch with the Wiganers.
Our Role
We are here to supply all the support you need to make your twinning idea reality and continue to build the strong links between Wigan and Angers. To get you started we can arrange talks, presentations, discussion groups and workshops to give you an insight into your twin town. These may be based around a particular theme or more general to spark off those initial ideas. These exchanges can be very different (sports, literature, professional exchanges and so on).
Once you have your idea we are here to help you to make it as fruitful as possible, through facilitating your searches and communication and using our skills and knowledge of Wigan and Angers.
Because Twinning is Yours . . .
The twinning of the two towns relies on your involvement. So if you have any project or enquiry do not hesitate to contact us. We will be very pleased to help you in any way we can, whether you need linguistic support, help to find transport or accommodation, or help creating links and organising an exchange.
