The Wigan Borough Partnership (WBP) Board is made up of leaders from the public, private, community and voluntary sectors.
The WBP Board is the key element of the Local Strategic Partnership, aligning a range of roles and characteristics needed to ensure effective partnership working at all levels across the borough. These roles include leadership, governance, strategic planning and inclusiveness.
The WBP Board have responsibility for the overall performance of the Sustainable Community Strategy.
Some of its key functions are:-
- Provide a strategic framework for activities of thematic partnerships and local Townships
- Commit to an active leadership role within the communities of Wigan and in particular to promote the principles of Community Cohesion
