Wigan Borough Partnership held it's 8th annual partnership convention on Friday 1st February 2008 at the JJB Stadium. The event was attended by over 240 people representing the public, private, community and voluntary sectors.
Wigan Borough Partnership Convention has become firmly established over the years as one of the highlights of the Wigan Borough Partnership calendar.
Our partners from a regional, boroughwide and local level look forward to this event, the majority seeing it as the only opportunity for them to come together in an informal environment to not only reflect on achievements and progress made on the big issues highlighted at last year's convention, but to have an influential role in agreeing and committing actions that will work to address the future priorities and issues facing the borough.
The convention this year was largely focused around the new Local Area Agreement and how its emerging priorities will start to influence and develop the vision for our new Sustainable Community Strategy.
