The LSMG has a leadership role that is complimentary to that exercised by the LSP Board. Its members occupy key roles in all the major local public services and work together through this body to bring real synergies to the LSP.
The LSMG is made up of Chief Officers from the the key public service organisations who work together to:-
- Manage and oversee the delivery of the Local Area Agreement and Sustainable Communities Strategy.
- Promote the protocols and standards set by the LSP Board.
- Monitor and scrutinise the spending of funds allocated to the LSP.
- Oversee performance of public services.
- Ensure effective performance management systems are in place.
