Detector Activated CCTV

New technology developments in Closed Circuit Television systems means that alarm activated CCTV is now a cost effective option to schools and corporate buildings. The system provides external alarm zones which when triggered will send a signal to the alarm receiving centre and images to central watch, the system can also provide an audio link. The majority of the time the alarm is triggered by young people playing football, in these incidences an officer will request the young people to leave the grounds. Other more serious incidents such as vandalism or intruders will be warned that they are on CCTV and the police have been called.

The CCTV control room receive video transmission using Vista SmarTel software via Public Service Telephone Network (PSTN), Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) and Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocols (TCP/IP). These signals can be transmitted back to the control centre via PSTN, ISDN and TCP/IP. Images are stored locally and any images received at the control centre are stored on the receiver’s hard drive. The system recordings can be accessed remotely and down loaded to the control centre for further investigation. This type of system also aids the monitor centre, when an intruder alarm signal is received from the site, to confirm if intruder are present and can prevent key holders being called out to false alarms.
