Once a month on a Sunday a volunteer driver will collect elderly people & take them to a hosts home. Here they will receive tea, and enjoy a chat with both the host/hostess and other elderly people. Each host/hostess who is a volunteer for Contact The Elderly, opens up their home once a year on a Sunday, as this can be one of the loneliest days of the week. All you need is a large teapot, not too many steps and a downstairs toilet!
