To apply for a building to be registered as a place of religious worship you will need to complete Form 76. This form can be collected or posted out to the applicant.
The forms can be signed by any person who can represent the congregation and returned to Wigan Register Office with the following:-
A floor plan of the building. This does not need to be professionally drawn or to scale, but must show all rooms, doorways, floors and staircases.
An average weekly timetable of religious and any other activities that take place in the building. This must also include any other activities not run by the congregation. This is to allow the Registrar General to be satisfied that the building is used permanently for religious worship.
A fee of £28.00, which is the statutory fee payable when you submit your application.
