We hold records of marriages from 1837 - to date and we can supply copies of these records for £10.00. (includes an administration fee)
As from 1st April 2011 we are introducing a priority/same day service and the fee for certificates issued on the same day will be £15.00 (includes a priority and administration fee)
We can only supply certificates for marriages that occurred in the Wigan and Leigh area.
You may call in person or if you wish apply through the post enclosing a cheque or postal order payable to Wigan Council.
For a marriage certificate we will require full names of the parties married and the date and place of marriage.
