We hold records of deaths from 1837 - to date and we can supply copies of these records for £10.00 from 1st April 2011 (includes an administration fee)
As from 1st April we are introducing a priority same day service and the fee for certificates issued on the same day will be £15 (includes a priority and administration fee)
We can only supply certificates for deaths that occurred in the Wigan and Leigh area.
You may call in person or if you wish apply through the post enclosing a cheque or postal order payable to Wigan Council.
For a death certificate we will require full names, date and place of death, approximate age and last full time occupation.
