We hold records of deaths from 1837 - to date and we can supply copies of these records.
Current fees are:-
£20 (cash or card only) same day priority service, applied for in person at Wigan Town Hall and available within 2 hours.
£12 (card payment only) non priority service, applied for via our contact centre tele. 01942 705000 is available and the certificate is posted out within 48 hours.
We can only supply certificates for deaths that occurred in the Wigan and Leigh area.
For a death certificate we will require full names, date and place of death, approximate age and last full time occupation.
