Lollipop Idol 2011
We asked children, parents and schools to nominate their favourite Lollipop person for 2011, the response was our best ever with almost 400 entries received. The judging was extremely hard with so many great nominations.
The winning entry came from Chloe Langton from Hindley St Peters, Chloe nominated Fred Chisnall to be the winner of Lollipop Idol 2011, Fred is the school crossing patrol at Hindley St Peters and was also the overall winner of the competition.

Lollipop Idol 2010 Winner Adam Winterbottom and his winning entry
We asked children, parents and schools to let us know why their Lollipop person deserves to be Lollipop Idol 2010, there was a good response to the competition, with over 100 entries.
The winning entry came from Adam Winterbotton who goes to Woodfield Primary school. Adam was presented with his vouchers at his school assembly by Rick Laithwait, Business Support Manager for MetroFresh.
Design a new lunch bunch character
Winner of 'Design a new Lunch Bunch character' Amy Edwards
We asked children to design a new fitness coach to get the lunch bunch ready for the 2010 World Cup.
The response was fantastic with over 1200 entries, the winner was Amy Edwards of Leigh C of E Junior School, Amy designed Matthew Melon who now becomes the latest member of the lunch bunch. Amy was presented with her prize by Cllr Lowdon and Debbie Clarke, MetroFresh Strategic Manager, in a school assembly.
Second place was Adam the Apple created by Holly Harrison of Mabs Cross Primary School.
Third place was Coach Cucumber created by Olivia Hunt of St Thomas CE School in Leigh.
Lollipop Idol 2009
2009 was the first year we have held Lollipop Idol, we asked schools, children and parents to nominate their favourite lollipop person. There was a great response to the competition and the winner was Dennis Skett from Mab's Cross.
