The policy must promote the following licensing objectives:-
- Protecting children and vulnerable people from being harmed or exploited by gambling;
- Preventing gambling from being a source of crime or disorder, being associated with crime or disorder, or being used to support crime; and
- Ensuring that gambling is conducted in a fair and open way.
A policy for the 2010-2013 period was prepared and following extensive consultation a final document was approved by the Council. A copy of the latest policy is available below: -
