Platt Bridge Community Zone offers a variety of recreational and business support opportunities for children, adults and older people alike. There is a full time Private Day Nursery called Mini Zone, Activity Resource Club for children, free Wigan and Leigh College Courses for the community, Paint Class, Children's Cycle workshops, as well as regular meeting place for Youth service, Disabled Youth groups and a practice venue for a local rock band.
The centre is also the base for Embrace Wigan and Leigh and the Learning Disabilities Partnership Board whose registered offices are located on the second floor of the building.
The centre also houses a Meeting Room, Computer Suite and Café/Conference area and organisations using the centre for meetings or occasional events include the Platt Bridge Business Partnership, Platt Bridge Community Forum, Disability Forum and Cafe Med Training Kitchen, though new bookings are always welcome.
