Welfare benefits Anything related to benefit entitlement including advice on housing benefit, council tax benefit, disability benefits, retirement and war pensions or attending tribunals.
Consumer Including what to do when a product does not do what the seller or maker claimed for it or getting a company to put right sub-standard work.
Debt/Money Includes bankruptcy, insolvency, and the legal position if you are behind with mortgage, tax or investment payments.
Employment Includes unfair dismissal, stroke action, data protection, employee confidentiality, contract advice and racial or sexual discrimination.
Family Includes advice on what to do if you want your children to live with you following a divorce and whether the other party should have contact, domestic violence, or children being taken into care or considered for adoption.
Health and community care Includes making a claim about failure to provide services or facilities to people that are sick, elderley or disabled by social services or health authority.
Housing Includes rent or mortgage arrears, getting improvements or repairs done, being evicted or suffering from noise nuisance.
Immigration and asylum Includes questions relating to nationality, the right to stay in this country, asylum and deportation.
