Consumers who have complaints will, in the first instance be referred to Consumer Direct, the national consumer advice service. Please call 08454 04 05 06 if you require advice. Consumer Direct will be able to help you resolve most of your consumer problems.
If Consumer Direct identify a criminal breach of trading standards or if specialist advice is needed they may refer the complaint back to the trading standards team. We will where possible help those consumers whose complaints are forwarded on to us by Consumer Direct. |

Advertising Standards Authority (External link) |
The ASA was set up in 1962 to make sure that non-broadcast advertisements appearing in the UK are legal, decent, honest and truthful.
The Authority protects the public by ensuring that the rules in the British Codes of Advertising and Sales Promotion are followed by everyone who prepares and publishes advertisements. |
