Our target was £48.18.

We achieved £45.79.

"Smaller is better" so we are within target range.

When we compare our 2006-07 results with the latest results (2005-06) for other metropolitan councils, we are in the mid range.

Performance is worse than last year.

Comments on our performance in 2006-07

We are required under the Best Value Accounting Code of Practice (BVACOP) to include the impact of FRS17- simplistically pension benefits. Also under BVACOP we are required to reallocate any material deficit on the Refuse Collection DSO back to the client - namely Waste Collection. These two items amounted to £255,000 and results in the total indicator increasing from £44.14 in 2005/06 to £45.79 in 2006/07.

Estimates amended 28/06/07 - The changes are due to the fact that under the latest information (BVACOP info. and R.O.Forms) the cost of operating the Civic Amenity Sites, previously included in Waste Collection, have been transferred to WASTE DISPOSAL.
