It’s time to get your skates on and head down to Wigan town centre!
An impressive 18 sq m ice rink will soon be open for everyone to use on the new piazza at the front of the new Wigan Life Centre.
The skate-related fun begins on Saturday February 18 and will last until Sunday February 26. The rink will be open from 11am to 7pm daily.
Sessions last for 40 minutes and start on the hour, every hour. Each session costs £4 per person or £12 for parties of four.
Wigan Council’s Cabinet Member for Customer Service, Cllr Chris Ready says: “This is great opportunity to enjoy the town centre and see the fantastic new Life Centre at first hand. We are planning that this will be the first of many public events that uses this fantastic new space.
“The rink isn’t just for the pros - it’s here for everyone to enjoy. Even if you’ve never skated before, now’s your chance to give it a try. All are welcome to join the winter fun.”
