Organisers of Wigan Borough’s biggest ever business event are delighted at the response for their October conference.
The Wigan Business Expo Twenty12 is welcoming firms and individuals from across the borough to hear keynote speakers, take part in one to one advice sessions and network with over 100 guest organisations who will be at the DW Stadium on 12 October.
In fact, the Expo is proving so popular that all the exhibition spaces were snapped up within just eight weeks of being made available.
Cllr David Molyneux, deputy leader of Wigan Council and portfolio holder for regeneration, says: “We have been overwhelmed at how quickly the stands for Wigan Business Expo Twenty12 have been taken. This year, the Expo is three times the size of our first event in 2010 and 50% bigger than last year. With nearly half of this year’s exhibitors having stands at last year’s event, it’s a testament to the growing reputation of Wigan Business Expo.”
Cllr Molyneux’ sentiments are echoed by Will Bentley, Director of Wigan’s largest creative agency, bd2. He’s attended all previous events and says: “As a proud Wigan based business, we’re keen to work in the town and with locally based organisations, so the Expo provides a great opportunity to meet other businesses based in Wigan Borough.
“In past years, we’ve met many great people and made several excellent contacts on the day. I feel that the Wigan focus creates a really positive and friendly atmosphere conducive to ‘doing business’ and that it represents great value for exhibitors. I’d have no hesitation in recommending that local businesses come to the event and consider exhibiting there next year as it’s a very cost-effective and focused marketing opportunity.”
Wigan Business Expo Twenty12 will take place on Friday 12 October, 8am to 3pm at DW Stadium.
