A new coffee shop is creating a stir in Tyldesley.
Connoisseurs of the cup that cheers can now head for the town’s local Children’s Centre, which has just become home to hot favourite Sherringtons.
With friendly staff, relaxed surroundings and top-drawer food and drink the new venture is already proving to be a ‘grande’ success.
Sherrington’s already have cafes in a number borough locations including Hindley Sure Start Children’s Centre.
Now the chain has added the Tyldesley Centre on Poplar Street to its roster.
Children’s Centre customers can enjoy a very grown-up selection tea, coffee and good food. Customers can even catch up on their e-mails thanks to the cafe’s fleet of laptops.
Jay Riley, Sherringtons Coffee House Manager said: “We aim to make every visit to Sherringtons as enjoyable as possible from our warm and friendly team to our cosy interiors. In our shops we serve freshly ground coffees, teas, hot chocolates, milkshakes, and frappes, and if you fancy a light snack or something more filling we offer a wide selection of cakes, paninis, sandwiches and jacket potatoes.
”The coffee shop has proved popular amongst users of the children’s centre and members of the public who regularly enjoy its facilities.”
Wigan Council Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, Cllr Susan Loudon, adds: “Children’s Centres provide a wide range of vital services to parents/carers and children throughout the communities of the borough. This is a great example of how we are working with local business to support these fantastic facilities and to make them even more attractive to members of the public.
“I would urge all parents and carers to find out more about their local Sure Start Children’s Centre and what it can do for you.”
