Some of the best young golf talents from across Wigan Borough and beyond will be celebrating a year of success at Haigh Golf Complex on Sunday 30th September.
Haigh Tigers presentation day will see regulars at the course receive their winners medals for various tournament wins over the season. Over forty children will attend the presentation following a morning of fun golf activities with their families.
Haigh Golf Complex attracts hundreds of young players each year. In the last 12 months the team of professionals have introduced golf to over 2000 children in local schools and a further 300 children have taken part in the junior programs at Haigh’s 9-hole Academy
The Academy's programs include individual lessons, group lessons, juniors classes and schools all aiming to improve the quality of young players in the area.
Head of Haigh Golf Complex Ian Lee said:
“All of our young players have shown a great amount of effort and enthusiasm over the last twelve months. We are pleased with the progress we are making at the Academy but would like to see even more youngsters down at Haigh Golf Complex learning from our team of professionals.”
