Haigh Hall and Country Park will host one of the region’s biggest and best bonfire celebrations on Sunday 4th November.
A huge bonfire will be accompanied by a professional fireworks display by Phenomenal Fireworks, traditional hot food and a fun fair for young children. The event is also supported by Rock FM, with DJs warming up the crowd on site at Wigan’s most historic hall from 3pm to 6pm.
The Haigh event will also help fight the battle against breast cancer as all proceeds from the event will be donated to local breast cancer charities as part of the Mayor of Wigan’s chosen campaign fro 2007.
Haigh Hall and Country Park Manager Tim Sharratt said:
“Haigh is the perfect setting for Bonfire Night with its wide open spaces and glorious views of Wigan’s countryside and it all helps to support the Mayor’s charity. We hope to build on the success of last year’s event and have included extra children’s activities. We are expecting another sell out crowd of around 2,000 so fireworks fans should make sure they get tickets as soon as possible. This is the hottest ticket in town!”
Food fans can also indulge in a special Haigh Hall Fireworks Carvery from 2pm. With limited places still available this rare treat costs just £20 per adult and £10 for children for three courses and entry to the bonfire celebration.
Gates open at 3pm and tickets to see the show are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for children. Tickets will not be on sale on the evening and must be purchased prior to arrival.
