Wigan goes Gallic next week with the return of the popular French market.
Market Place will have a distinctive French flavour for four days, from Wednesday 8th November to Friday 11th November. There’ll be a host of vibrant stalls selling fresh bread, sausages and cooked meats, cheeses, olives, jams, perfumed soaps, cashmere jumpers, baskets and much more beside.
Wigan Council Town Centre Manager, Mike Matthews says:
"If you’ve experienced the sights, sounds, aromas and tastes of a French market before, you’ll undoubtedly be coming to town next week. If you haven’t, you’re in for a real treat - without having to cross the channel.
“And if you're feeling brave you can even practise your French with the traders, although their English is certainly a lot better than my French!"
The French market will be open from 9am-5pm each day.
