Surf’s up on Saturday August 4, when Platt Bridge will be transformed into a seaside resort with the arrival of the annual gala fun day and beach event.
The fun will begin at 10.30am in Foggs Fold Field, off Stratton Drive, Platt Bridge.
There will be plenty to see and do including free donkey rides, fairground rides, games, slides, face painting, karaoke, stalls, a fashion show, a football competition and a bouncy castle. With Barnaby the Magician providing the entertainment, it promises to be a truly magical day.
Cllr John O’Neill, Cabinet Champion for Regeneration and Deputy Leader of Wigan Council said:
“The gala fun day guarantees to be a fun filled and exciting event for people of all ages. With a sandy beach and fairground rides, Platt Bridge will be giving Blackpool a run for its money.”
