Best Dressed Window winner
Dressed for Success: Ward councillors Paul Tushingham, Nigel Ash and Walter Carney congratulate Flair n Fleur owner Jacquie Gordon.

Shops in Ashton town centre have been dressing up to the nines for the annual Best Dressed Window Competition.

The competition was judged on Wednesday December 12 by Cllr Nigel Ash, Cllr Walter Carney, Cllr Paul Tushingham, (Ashton’s Ward Councillors) and Emma Gaster, Town Centre Co-ordinator.

The shops in Ashton had all put a lot of effort into their displays and it was a tough decision to decide who would be the winner. The shortlist included BB’s Ice Cream Bar, Cosy Café and Flair n Fleur. After much consideration it was decided that the prize would go to fashion house and florists Flair n Fleur who received vouchers for a meal for two courtesy of Sorrento’s Restaurant at the Gerard Centre.

Thanks to all the businesses that have made the effort this year and also to Sorrento’s restaurant for kindly donating the prize.
