If you have been driving for over 30 years, or perhaps have never taken a test after learning to drive in the military, or maybe the loss of a love one means you are less confident on busy roads, then this free session may be ideal. Wigan Council's road safety team, in partnership with the Driving Standards Agency and Wigan Advanced Drivers, are running a relaxed course offering mature drivers a chance to brush up on their motoring skills in a friendly atmosphere.
There's a chance to go on to have a special one-to-one session on the roads at a later date, with practical advice tailored to your typical driving routes.
The session is free, but must be booked in advance.
Upcoming sessions:
- Wednesday, 15 July 2009, time: 10am - 12noon at Leigh Library
- Wednesday, 14 October 2009, time: 10am - 12noon at Wigan Investment Centre
